Together with design duo Alissa+Nienke and light engineer Tom Bergman we received funding from Stokroos to openly explore how we can use light to enhance wellbeing by creating and validating a light installation.
We decided to design for and test the first prototype in a hospital (Elisabeth-Tweesteden Hospital, in Tilburg) to specify the impact we want to make. Creating a light installation to help you wander off or distract you of the worries you might have. In that case helping you to relax a bit and maybe even help you to recharge.
This project was about the process of developing the installation and learning from the first feedback we got out of the validation. Our next step will be to continue the development and implement it in different settings.
